Sleeping Giant

Break forth to the city and present this truth,
The gentle streets of justice filled with youth.
Ever-calming gaze of the slumbering giant,
Dormantly waiting in a dream of defiance.
Lowly breathing on a tremulous cloud;
Insecure thought and ignorance all around.
Make still these assumptions of dire consequence,
State then this good brought forth by sense.
Sleep then gentle giant,wake not yet,
For your waking wrath we are sure to regret.
