The Things We Say

"I want what the world never gave me," Thats what I used to say.
"Life is hard and unforgiving," they said. You don't have to be do you?
"No," that's the word I heard the most in terms of what I cared about.
"I expected better out of you," obviously you were wrong.
"Why do I bother?" I couldn't tell you why, just that you do.
"I don't care anymore." You never said that but that's what I heard and felt when you left.
"Its not you-" Don't even dare finish that statement.
I trusted you but never really trusted me did you?
"Life moves on and so will you." Thats not true for my life has stopped.
"I don't care anymore." Thats what I now say. In my eyes im already dead.
